Make these easy, impressive stuffed dates featuring a creamy filling, salty bacon, and a sweet honey drizzle. They work well as a party appetizer or a quick snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 Medjool dates
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 6 strips bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • Pinch of black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Carefully slice each date lengthwise down one side and remove the pit.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the softened cream cheese with the chopped nuts and black pepper until combined.
  4. Spoon or pipe the cream cheese mixture into the cavity of each date.
  5. Wrap half a strip of cooked bacon around the center of each stuffed date. Secure with a toothpick if necessary.
  6. Place the wrapped dates on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the bacon is heated through and the dates are slightly soft.
  8. Remove from the oven and immediately drizzle the tops with honey before serving warm.

Notes

  • For a no-bake version, skip the oven step and serve immediately after filling and wrapping.
  • You can substitute goat cheese for cream cheese for a tangier flavor.
  • Use smoked paprika in the cream cheese mixture for an added layer of flavor.
