Wake up to warm, gooey cinnamon rolls without the morning rush. This slow cooker recipe lets you prep everything the night before, so you enjoy freshly baked bliss right from bed.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (16.3 ounce) can refrigerated biscuit dough (10 biscuits)
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Lightly grease the inside of your slow cooker insert.
  2. Arrange the biscuit pieces in a single layer on the bottom of the slow cooker.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until well combined. This is your filling.
  4. Spread the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the biscuit pieces.
  5. In a separate small bowl, mix the water, granulated sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla extract. Pour this liquid evenly over the top of the cinnamon filling.
  6. Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 3 to 4 hours, or on HIGH for 1.5 to 2 hours. The rolls are done when they are puffy and cooked through.
  7. Carefully invert the slow cooker insert onto a serving plate. The gooey caramel sauce will pour out over the rolls.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy your easy morning treat.

Notes

  • Use a 5-quart or 6-quart oval slow cooker for best results.
  • Do not lift the lid during the cooking process; this releases heat and extends the cooking time.
  • If the sauce seems too thin, you can gently stir it after inverting the rolls.
