Make this easy Sheet Pan Lasagna for dinner tonight. You get all the rich flavor of classic lasagna with half the fuss and minimal cleanup. This recipe focuses on getting those desirable crispy edges while keeping the layering simple. Jacob perfected this version for us.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 (24 ounce) jar marinara sauce
  • 1 (15 ounce) container ricotta cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for topping
  • 12 no-boil lasagna noodles
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 13×9 inch baking pan.
  2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Stir the oregano, basil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper into the cooked beef.
  4. In a medium bowl, mix the ricotta cheese and egg together until just combined. Stir in the 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese.
  5. Spread about 1 cup of marinara sauce evenly over the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
  6. Arrange four no-boil lasagna noodles over the sauce, slightly overlapping if necessary.
  7. Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the noodles.
  8. Spoon about one-third of the remaining meat sauce over the ricotta layer.
  9. Sprinkle with one-third of the mozzarella cheese.
  10. Repeat the layering: 4 noodles, remaining ricotta mixture, another third of the meat sauce, and another third of the mozzarella.
  11. Top with the final 4 noodles. Spread the remaining meat sauce over the top layer of noodles.
  12. Sprinkle generously with the remaining mozzarella cheese and a little extra Parmesan.
  13. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the edges are browned and crispy.
  14. Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before cutting and serving.

Notes

  • Using no-boil noodles keeps this recipe fast and simple.
  • The edges of the lasagna will crisp up nicely in the sheet pan, which Jacob loves.
  • You can substitute ground turkey or Italian sausage for the ground beef.
