Ingredients
Scale
10 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, melted
1/2 cup hot cocoa mix
1/4 cup mini marshmallows
Silicone sphere molds
Instructions
Melt the semi-sweet chocolate using a double boiler or microwave in short bursts.
Brush a thin, even layer of melted chocolate inside each half of the silicone sphere molds.
Place the molds in the refrigerator for 10 minutes to set the chocolate.
Apply a second layer of melted chocolate to the inside of each mold for extra richness and strength. Chill again until fully firm.
Carefully remove the hardened chocolate shells from the molds.
Fill half of the chocolate shells with one teaspoon of hot cocoa mix and a few mini marshmallows.
Gently melt the edge of an empty shell half by placing it briefly on a warm plate.
Press the melted edge of the empty shell onto a filled shell to seal, forming a complete sphere.
To use, place one hot chocolate bomb in a mug and pour 8 ounces of hot milk over it. Stir until fully melted and enjoy.
Notes
Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor.
If the chocolate melts too fast while assembling, return the shells to the fridge briefly.
You can customize the filling with different spices like cinnamon or a pinch of cayenne pepper.
