Make soft, gooey cinnamon roll bites fast using refrigerated biscuit dough. This recipe requires no yeast and is ready quickly for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (16.3 ounce) can refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup (4 tablespoons) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
  2. Open the can of biscuit dough. Separate the biscuits and place them on a clean surface.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the 1/2 cup granulated sugar and 2 tablespoons of cinnamon.
  4. Dip each biscuit piece into the melted butter, coating both sides lightly.
  5. Roll each buttered biscuit piece in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.
  6. Cut each coated biscuit piece into four equal quarters. Place these quarters close together in the prepared baking pan.
  7. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the bites are golden brown and cooked through.
  8. While the bites bake, prepare the glaze. Whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  9. Remove the pan from the oven and let the bites cool for 5 minutes.
  10. Drizzle the glaze evenly over the warm cinnamon roll bites before serving.

Notes

  • For extra gooeyness, pour any leftover melted butter or cinnamon sugar mixture over the bites before baking.
  • You can make these ahead and reheat them briefly in the microwave before glazing.
  • Use a box grater to finely grate a small piece of fresh nutmeg into the cinnamon sugar for added flavor.
