- 1 scoop vanilla or chocolate protein powder (about 30g)
- 2 tablespoons oat flour
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 3 tablespoons milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1 tablespoon peanut butter (optional, for topping)
- Combine the protein powder, oat flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder in a microwave-safe mug. Mix the dry ingredients well.
- Add the milk to the dry mixture. Stir until just combined; do not overmix. The batter should be thick.
- Microwave on high for 60 to 90 seconds. Cooking time varies by microwave power. Check after 60 seconds.
- If the top looks wet, microwave for another 10 to 15 seconds.
- Top with peanut butter, if using, and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a chocolate flavor, use chocolate protein powder. For a vanilla base, add 1/2 teaspoon of instant coffee granules for a mocha flavor.
- Adjust milk slightly if the batter seems too dry or too wet. You want a thick, brownie-like consistency.
- If you do not have oat flour, blend rolled oats until they reach a fine flour consistency.
