Ingredients
Scale
1 (24 ounce) package frozen cheese or meat ravioli
1 (24 ounce) jar marinara sauce
1 cup water
1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, combine the frozen ravioli, marinara sauce, water, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Stir gently until the ravioli is coated.
Pour the entire mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it into an even layer.
Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Remove the foil. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
Return the dish to the oven, uncovered, and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the sauce is hot throughout.
Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
You can substitute frozen tortellini for the ravioli if you prefer.
For a meatier dish, use a meat sauce or stir in 1 pound of cooked ground beef or Italian sausage with the sauce.
If you want a slightly crispier top, broil the cheese for the last 1-2 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
