- 1 cup frozen orange segments
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 1/2 inch fresh ginger, peeled
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
- 1/4 cup water or orange juice
- Place the frozen orange segments, yogurt, peeled ginger, honey (if using), and water or orange juice into a blender.
- Secure the lid on the blender.
- Blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. You may need to stop and scrape down the sides.
- If the smoothie is too thick, add a splash more liquid and blend again briefly.
- Pour immediately into glasses and serve.
Notes
- For a colder smoothie, use frozen yogurt cubes instead of fresh yogurt.
- Taste the smoothie before adding honey; oranges vary in sweetness.
- If your kids dislike ginger, start with a very small piece (1/4 inch) or omit it for the first try.
- This recipe is a project Amelia planned and Jacob perfected.
