This is a simple, baked recipe for Hot Honey Feta Chicken. You get a wonderful mix of sweet, spicy, and salty flavors in one easy dish. Jacob makes this dish by planning the perfect glaze and baking the chicken until tender.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup Honey
  • 2 tablespoons Hot sauce (like Sriracha or chili garlic sauce)
  • 1 teaspoon Red pepper flakes (adjust to your spice preference)
  • 1 teaspoon Apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 4 ounces Feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, hot sauce, red pepper flakes, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper to create the hot honey glaze.
  3. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Rub them lightly with olive oil.
  4. Place the chicken in the prepared baking dish. Brush about half of the hot honey glaze evenly over the tops of the chicken breasts.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes.
  6. Remove the dish from the oven. Brush the remaining glaze over the chicken. Sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese evenly over all four pieces.
  7. Return the chicken to the oven and bake for another 5 to 10 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the feta is slightly softened and lightly golden.
  8. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. Spoon any pan juices over the top.

Notes

  • Jacob suggests serving this over quinoa or with a side of roasted broccoli to balance the sweetness.
  • If you prefer a more intense spice, lightly sear the chicken in a skillet before baking to build more color, adding about 5 minutes of cook time.
  • This recipe works well for meal prepping; store the chicken and feta separately from any side dishes.
