Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
  • 8 ounces cooked noodles (ramen, udon, or your favorite)
  • 1 green onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, gochujang, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, and red pepper flakes if using.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat the sauce over medium heat until it just begins to bubble.
  3. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss well to coat them evenly with the sauce.
  4. Cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until the noodles are heated through and well-coated.
  5. Serve immediately, garnished with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of gochujang and red pepper flakes to control the spice level.
  • You can add cooked protein like chicken, tofu, or shrimp to make it a complete meal.
  • For a milder flavor, reduce the gochujang or add a touch more sugar.
