- 1 can (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup mini pepperoni slices
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a clean surface. Do not separate the triangles. Press the seams together to form one large rectangle.
- Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border along one long edge.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese and pepperoni slices over the sauce.
- Starting from the long edge opposite the border you left, tightly roll the dough into a log.
- Brush the top of the log lightly with the melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder.
- Using a sharp knife, slice the log into 12 equal rounds (about 3/4 inch thick).
- Place the pinwheels cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute puff pastry or pizza dough for crescent rolls if you prefer a different texture.
- For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of dried oregano or Parmesan cheese before baking.
- These pinwheels reheat well in an oven or air fryer for a few minutes.
