Make this simple, three-ingredient appetizer in your slow cooker for parties or game days. These sweet and savory meatballs require minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (32 ounce) bag frozen pre-cooked meatballs
  • 1 (12 ounce) jar grape jelly
  • 1 (12 ounce) bottle chili sauce (like Heinz or similar BBQ style)

Instructions

  1. Place the frozen meatballs into the slow cooker.
  2. Pour the entire jar of grape jelly over the meatballs.
  3. Pour the entire bottle of chili sauce over the jelly and meatballs.
  4. Stir gently to coat the meatballs with the sauce mixture.
  5. Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 3 to 4 hours, or on HIGH for 1.5 to 2 hours, until the meatballs are heated through and the sauce is smooth.
  6. Stir occasionally during the cooking time.
  7. Switch the slow cooker setting to KEEP WARM for serving.
  8. Serve directly from the slow cooker with toothpicks for easy grabbing.

Notes

  • For easy serving on a buffet line, place toothpicks directly into the slow cooker next to the meatballs.
  • If you do not have chili sauce, you can substitute an equal amount of your favorite mild BBQ sauce, though the flavor profile will change slightly.
  • You can use homemade meatballs if you prefer, but ensure they are fully cooked before adding them to the slow cooker.
