Enjoy this quick and deeply flavorful Creamy Honey Butter Skillet Corn. This recipe takes the popular sweet and savory notes of honey butter corn and adds a rich creaminess, making it a perfect, easy side dish for any weeknight or gathering. Jacob perfected this version from Amelia’s initial planning.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups fresh or frozen corn kernels
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the corn kernels to the skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 to 7 minutes until the corn is tender and slightly caramelized.
  3. Stir in the honey until it is fully mixed with the butter and coats the corn.
  4. Reduce the heat to low. Pour in the heavy cream and stir gently until the mixture begins to thicken slightly, about 1 minute.
  5. Remove the skillet from the heat. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving immediately.

Notes

  • If using frozen corn, do not thaw before adding to the skillet.
  • For an extra savory note, substitute 1 tablespoon of Parmesan with a pinch of garlic powder.
  • This dish pairs well with grilled chicken or barbecue.
