- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, packed
- 2 tablespoons fresh chives
- 1 tablespoon fresh tarragon
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, and buttermilk in a blender.
- Add the fresh parsley, chives, tarragon, garlic, onion powder, salt, pepper, and lemon juice to the blender.
- Blend on high speed until the dressing is completely smooth and creamy. Stop and scrape down the sides as needed.
- Taste the dressing and adjust salt or lemon juice if necessary.
- Transfer the dressing to an airtight container and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
Notes
- For a thinner dressing, add more buttermilk one tablespoon at a time until you reach your desired consistency.
- If you do not have fresh tarragon, you can substitute with 1 teaspoon of dried tarragon, but the flavor will be less bright.
- This dressing works well as a dip for raw vegetables or as a sauce for grilled chicken.
