Ingredients
Scale
1 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, finely grated
6 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons dried parsley
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
Instructions
Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Do not let the butter brown.
Add the minced garlic to the melted butter. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant. Do not let the garlic burn or turn dark brown.
Remove the saucepan from the heat.
Whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese, dried parsley, salt, black pepper, onion powder, and white pepper until the mixture is smooth and the cheese is fully incorporated.
If the sauce seems too thick, you can add a teaspoon of water or chicken broth to thin it slightly, but keep it thick enough to coat wings well.
Toss hot, cooked wings immediately in the sauce until fully coated. Serve right away.
Notes
Use freshly grated Parmesan cheese for the best melting quality and flavor. Pre-grated cheese often contains anti-caking agents that can make the sauce grainy.
For a slightly tangier flavor profile similar to some chain restaurants, you can substitute 1 tablespoon of the butter with mayonnaise.
If you are making a large batch, keep the sauce warm over very low heat or reheat gently before tossing the wings.
