- 1 can (15 ounces) chickpeas, rinsed and drained
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat the rinsed chickpeas very dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels. This helps them get crispy.
- In a medium bowl, toss the dried chickpeas with olive oil until evenly coated.
- In a small bowl, mix together the sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the oiled chickpeas and toss until they are well coated.
- Spread the chickpeas in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Roast for 20-25 minutes, shaking the pan halfway through, until the chickpeas are golden brown and crispy.
- Let them cool slightly before enjoying.
Notes
- For extra crispy chickpeas, ensure they are very dry before roasting.
- You can adjust the amount of cinnamon and sugar to your preference.
- These are best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for a day or two.
