Create irresistible Churro Cheesecake Bars using store-bought crescent roll dough for a quick, delicious dessert. These bars deliver the warm, cinnamon-sugar crunch of a churro paired with a creamy, decadent cheesecake filling. It is Amelia and Jacob’s perfectly planned project.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup (4 tablespoons) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and press it firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan, sealing any seams.
  3. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and 1/2 cup sugar until smooth. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until just combined.
  4. Pour the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crescent roll base.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the remaining 1/4 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Set aside.
  6. Melt the butter. Brush the melted butter lightly over the top of the cheesecake layer.
  7. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the buttered cheesecake layer.
  8. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the center is mostly set.
  9. Let the bars cool completely in the pan on a wire rack. They will firm up as they cool.
  10. Once cool, cut into squares before serving.

Notes

  • For an extra churro flavor, dip the tops lightly in extra cinnamon sugar immediately after they come out of the oven.
  • You can use a 9×13 inch pan for thinner bars, but reduce the baking time slightly.
  • Ensure your cream cheese is fully softened to avoid lumps in the filling.
  • This recipe works well with pre-made pie crust if crescent dough is unavailable.
