Ingredients
Scale
1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 cups cooked, shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken works well)
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided
1 (16.3 ounce) can refrigerated biscuit dough (like Grands), cut into quarters
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, milk, parsley, garlic powder, and black pepper until smooth.
Stir in the shredded chicken and half (1/2 cup) of the shredded cheddar cheese into the soup mixture. Pour this base evenly into the prepared baking dish.
Arrange the quartered biscuit pieces randomly over the top of the chicken mixture. Do not overlap them too much; leave some space for them to expand.
Bake for 20 minutes, or until the biscuits are puffed and lightly golden brown.
Remove the casserole from the oven. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese over the hot biscuits.
Return to the oven for 3 to 5 more minutes, just until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy your pull-apart comfort meal!
Notes
Using pre-cooked rotisserie chicken saves significant time on prep.
You can substitute cream of celery or cream of onion soup for variety.
For extra flavor, add 1/2 cup of frozen peas and carrots to the chicken mixture.
Shred the cheese yourself for better melting quality.
