Ingredients
Scale
6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
1 packet (1 ounce) dry ranch seasoning mix
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, combine the dry ranch seasoning mix, mayonnaise, olive oil, and black pepper. Mix until you have a smooth coating.
Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels. This helps the skin crisp.
Place the chicken thighs in the bowl and turn them to coat all sides evenly with the ranch mixture.
Arrange the coated chicken thighs skin-side up on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they do not touch.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit (74 degrees Celsius) and the skin is golden brown and slightly crisp.
Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can sprinkle 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the thighs during the last 5 minutes of baking.
If you prefer a thinner coating, substitute the mayonnaise with 1/4 cup of buttermilk or plain Greek yogurt.
You can add chopped potatoes or carrots to the baking sheet around the chicken for a complete meal.
