Make juicy, flavorful shrimp quickly in your air fryer with this simple garlic butter recipe. It requires no breading and cooks in under 10 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined (fresh or frozen, no need to fully thaw)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. If using frozen shrimp, rinse them briefly under cold water to remove ice crystals, then pat them very dry with paper towels.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the shrimp, olive oil, melted butter, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika. Toss until the shrimp are evenly coated.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
  4. Place the seasoned shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd; cook in batches if necessary.
  5. Air fry for 6 to 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time, until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
  6. Remove from the air fryer, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For best results, ensure shrimp are dry before seasoning to help the coating adhere.
  • This shrimp works well served over salads, mixed into pasta, or used as a filling for tacos.
  • If you prefer a slight crisp, cook from frozen, but increase the cook time by 1 to 2 minutes.
