Ingredients
Scale
1 (13.8 ounce) can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
1 large egg white
1 teaspoon water
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
Cut each biscuit into four equal pieces to make 32 small dough balls.
In a small bowl, whisk the egg white and water together until slightly frothy. Brush the dough balls lightly with this mixture.
Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 3 minutes.
Place the dough balls in the air fryer basket in a single layer, working in batches if necessary. Do not overcrowd the basket.
Air fry for 5 to 7 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the bites are puffed and lightly golden brown.
While the bites cook, combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon in a medium bowl.
Remove the cooked pretzel bites from the air fryer basket and immediately place them in the bowl with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
Drizzle the melted butter over the warm bites while tossing gently to coat them evenly.
Return the coated bites to the air fryer basket and air fry for an additional 1 to 2 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit to set the coating and increase crispiness.
Serve warm.
Notes
For extra crispiness, ensure the dough pieces are not touching when you place them in the air fryer basket for the initial cook.
If you prefer a thicker coating, increase the cinnamon sugar mixture to 1/3 cup sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon.
If you do not have biscuit dough, you can use refrigerated pizza dough cut into small squares.
