Ingredients
Scale
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 6 oz each)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Pat the chicken breasts completely dry using paper towels. This helps achieve crispiness.
Brush both sides of the chicken breasts lightly with olive oil.
In a small bowl, mix the Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Press the cheese mixture firmly onto both sides of the oiled chicken breasts to create a crust.
Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (195°C) for 3 minutes.
Place the coated chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not overlap.
Air fry for 12 to 15 minutes, flipping the chicken halfway through the cooking time.
Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer; the chicken is done when it reaches 165°F (74°C).
Remove from the air fryer and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Notes
For extra crispy skin on thighs, ensure the skin side faces up for the first half of the cooking time.
If your chicken breasts are very thick, pound them to an even thickness (about 3/4 inch) before coating for consistent cooking.
Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if necessary to maintain airflow.
