Ingredients
Noodles (your choice): 8 oz
Protein (chicken, tofu, or shrimp): 1/2 lb, cut into bite-sized pieces
Vegetable mix (broccoli florets, sliced carrots, bell peppers): 2 cups
Soy Sauce: 1/4 cup
Oyster Sauce (optional): 2 tablespoons
Sesame Oil: 1 tablespoon
Rice Vinegar: 1 tablespoon
Brown Sugar or Honey: 1 teaspoon
Garlic, minced: 2 cloves
Ginger, grated: 1 teaspoon
Cooking oil (vegetable or canola): 1 tablespoon
Instructions
Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and brown sugar. This is your sauce.
Heat the cooking oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
Add your protein. Cook until browned and nearly done. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Add garlic and ginger to the pan. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add all vegetables to the pan. Stir-fry for 3 to 5 minutes until crisp-tender.
Return the cooked protein to the pan with the vegetables.
Add the cooked noodles and the prepared sauce to the pan. Toss everything well to coat evenly.
Cook for 1 to 2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and everything is heated through. Serve immediately.
Notes
Jacob suggests using fresh ginger for the best flavor.
If you prefer more spice, add a pinch of red pepper flakes with the garlic.
This recipe works with almost any vegetable you have on hand.
For an extra layer of flavor, garnish with chopped green onions or sesame seeds before serving.
